Acceptable Use Policy

Rules governing responsible use of MegaSMTP, including restrictions on spam, phishing, abuse, unsolicited email, malicious content, and unauthorized sending.

MegaSMTP is designed for legitimate transactional, application-generated, and permission-based email.

By using MegaSMTP, you agree to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy.

1. Permitted Use

Permitted uses may include:

  • Account verification emails
  • Password reset emails
  • Order and transaction notifications
  • Application notifications
  • Service and security alerts
  • Permission-based business communications
  • Other lawful communications to recipients you are authorized to contact

2. Prohibited Uses

You may not use MegaSMTP to send or distribute:

  • Unsolicited bulk email or spam
  • Phishing or credential-stealing messages
  • Fraudulent or deceptive content
  • Malware, ransomware, spyware, or malicious files
  • Messages impersonating another person or organization without authorization
  • Illegal products, services, or activities
  • Threatening, abusive, or harassing content
  • Content that infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights
  • Email sent using domains you do not own or control
  • Messages intended to evade spam filters or reputation systems

3. Recipient Consent

You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate permission or lawful basis to contact recipients.

Purchased, scraped, harvested, or otherwise improperly obtained recipient lists must not be used with MegaSMTP.

4. Domain Verification

Customers may only send from domains that they own or are authorized to use.

MegaSMTP may require successful DNS authentication before sending is enabled.

5. Bounce and Complaint Rates

Customers are expected to maintain responsible sending practices and reasonable bounce and complaint rates.

MegaSMTP may temporarily restrict or suspend sending if excessive bounces, complaints, rejected messages, or other reputation risks are detected.

6. Suppression Lists

Recipients identified as hard bounces, complaints, or otherwise unsuitable for continued sending may be placed on suppression lists.

Customers must not intentionally bypass suppression controls.

7. Monitoring and Enforcement

We may monitor technical sending metrics, complaints, bounce activity, security events, and abuse reports to protect MegaSMTP, our infrastructure providers, recipients, and other customers.

Accounts that violate this policy may be warned, rate-limited, suspended, or terminated.

9. Changes

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy as our service, infrastructure, legal obligations, or industry standards evolve.
